One of the best things that a parent could give to their children is quality time.  I am a single parent of an 8-year old intelligent kid.  Since I have to make sure that I will be able to give her the best of everything, I work 14 hours a day and that is from Monday to Friday.  On Saturdays and Sundays, sometimes it will be spent shopping and cleaning the house.  Aside from that, I always make sure that I am there whenever they have a parent-child activity in the school.

However, work had been so hectic lately.  I needed to prove to my boss that I deserve to be promoted.  So, I worked and missed school activities.  My daughter had noticed this.  Mother’s Day is a special day especially for both of us.  On that day too, I had a big presentation of which it was successful.  After the meeting, I drove fast to my daughter’s school.  Unfortunately, my car came to a complete halt in the midst of the road.  I called my daughter’s teacher and told her I might be late.  She was so helpful.  She called a towing service with manual transmission repair. 

The towing service also offered 4×4 transmission repair so I was rescued from total humiliation.  I gave my car keys to them and headed to the school in time for the activity to start.  At the end of the activity, my daughter and I dropped by at the repair shop and were surprised to see my car repaired already.
