A few months ago, I got out of a relationship due to reasons I do not want to recall ever again. It was a very hard time for me because we have been together for three years and we spent so much time together then. He was really sweet before and he often bought me gifts like necklaces, bracelets and earrings. When we broke up, I just felt really awful that even looking at the gifts makes me feel sick.

My best friend told me that I can get rid of the gifts and make money while at it by selling old jewelry. Some of the pieces were really beautiful, but I was resolute about giving them all up. Things are really not going to work out for us anymore, so I had no choice. Besides, it also made sense to get money in exchange so I can spend it on more necessary things.

So my friend helped me look for a dealer, and her colleague told her about his wonderful experience with a jeweler he found online. He had to sell old jewelry before when he needed extra money for a surgery, so he recommended the jeweler. We took his word for it and eventually I got around $1600! Thankfully my ex was not a cheapskate and bought me real stuff, or else the jewelry must have been worth nothing. Now, without the things that remind me of him, I am ready to move on.
