New Business

Posted by Renea on June 30th, 2010

We are just starting our new business and we need office supplies for obvious reasons. Our budget is not that much and we wanted to maximize what we have left. So our business mentor asks us to buy from wholesaler because we have a greater chance to get discount office supplies. So we searched online for good offers then luckily we saw one that gives a good deal. We bought the office supplies to them and surprisingly we still have some money left. We take a look at our new office and double check what else are we lacking. Since it’s a new business and office, we decided then that we can use the extra money on buying industrial supplies for floor and carpet care. We spent too much for the interior of our new office and that includes the flooring so we really wanted to take good care of it. Our goal is to have to have a long term business and that means we need to have a long term reliable partner for the quality supplies we need to make our job efficient.

Satisfaction Guaranteed

One of the best things that a parent could give to their children is quality time.  I am a single parent of an 8-year old intelligent kid.  Since I have to make sure that I will be able to give her the best of everything, I work 14 hours a day and that is from Monday to Friday.  On Saturdays and Sundays, sometimes it will be spent shopping and cleaning the house.  Aside from that, I always make sure that I am there whenever they have a parent-child activity in the school.

However, work had been so hectic lately.  I needed to prove to my boss that I deserve to be promoted.  So, I worked and missed school activities.  My daughter had noticed this.  Mother’s Day is a special day especially for both of us.  On that day too, I had a big presentation of which it was successful.  After the meeting, I drove fast to my daughter’s school.  Unfortunately, my car came to a complete halt in the midst of the road.  I called my daughter’s teacher and told her I might be late.  She was so helpful.  She called a towing service with manual transmission repair

The towing service also offered 4×4 transmission repair so I was rescued from total humiliation.  I gave my car keys to them and headed to the school in time for the activity to start.  At the end of the activity, my daughter and I dropped by at the repair shop and were surprised to see my car repaired already.

Moving Away - Alone

Posted by Renea on June 21st, 2010

Moving away from my family is the heaviest thing I’ve done. It’s really hard for me to move from the province to the city side for my schooling. After earning a scholarship to a more than average school, it was my family’s decision that I should temporarily live away from them to concentrate on my college life.  It’s a good thing that a Raleigh moving company was here to lend a hand; my dad’s only a farmer and the only big thing that could help me carry out my stuff is his mini truck. Although I still miss the faces of the people back home, I feel that I am journeying into a new life that I should be thankful for!

When I got to my apartment, the men gave me a hand to arrange the things up. I was very thankful to them for accompanying me in this journey. When everything was done, and all my things were on place, my dad kissed my goodbye and left. I did cry that night and a few nights after that, but then again this is a chance of a lifetime; I must not fail them. Looking at the things inside my room, I’m looking forward to seeing this Raleigh packing company; they’re the ones I’ll call when I move back home.

No more File Storage

Posted by Renea on June 10th, 2010

Storages have always been a problem to me. I have been a software programmer for three years and because of the rapidly changing information technology, I always find some new applications and add-ons to my development. I have always trusted my HP Storage to keep my files safe and secure, and it has been my trusted equipment. But when my storage runs out of place for another 3 GB file, I decided that’s the time to get me another one.

I never liked other storages other than the HP SAN, but I was really on the budget and adding equipment would cause me to increase my expense and thus breaking my budget limit for the month. However, since I needed another reliable storage, I decided to buy one of those from refurbished computer parts resellers. There were local stores as well as in the internet that ship easily within days. I just got my new storage and never was I happy. I need not to erase important data; I’ve got a big space for all! It’s a great thing that there are still resellers of materials like these. I myself benefit greatly from them! They don’t cost much, but works perfectly well. It’s a good deal for anyone who’s in a tight budget.

Appreciating Mom

Posted by Renea on June 3rd, 2010

I was helping a friend who was looking for a gift for her mom.  Since she wanted the gift to be really special to show her appreciation to her mom, she decided to give an all expenses paid trip to her hometown in Italy.  We scoured the Internet for cheap vacation packages and coordinated with local travel agents.   She was able to find the perfect package for her mom but ran into some cash problems.  I suggested that she try to sell old gold jewelry which she rarely used. She gave in to the idea since she was not that fond of the pieces anyway.

I also referred her to the company that I contacted to sell diamonds when I too encountered some cash problems.  She contacted them that night and within the week, my friend was able to get the check and had it cashed right away.    Because of the fast service, she was able to get a good price for the vacation package that she was giving to her mom.  That gesture truly delighted her mom and they are both looking forward to the trip that would take her mom back to Italy again after so many years of not being able to visit it.
